So today (technically yesterday but whatever) was my birthday. As you know, I was up late last night, I eventually managed to get to sleep at about 5. I then got up at 9am for uni, had to have a bottle of diet cola just to keep me awake in class. It was not good, everyone else was also dead tired so we all workshopped but hardly anyone contributed except the lecturers and myself - why is that I'm the only one who can ever think of stuff to say about people's work? After class I went to Costa with Diamond and opened all the presents from her. ~Just got to interrupt this by saying, did you know that Costa finally have a loyalty card that can be used anywhere. ~She seemed to have gone mad on the present buying as she gave me a spellbook, a notebook (that I can't wait to use but as I only started one next week I'm going to hold off for now), a bookmark and a necklace.
After coffee (gingerbread latte and a slice of lemon cake for me) we made a quick trip to the craft shop (stocking up on card-making supplies) and whizzed round Tesco (buying a few snacks for Friday's DVD night). Then slowly walked home, by the time I got back I was almost ready to collapse. Watched an episode of Sex and the City but Chris interrupted half way through, though I definitely wasn't complaining, he just caught me a bit off-guard. He gave me a card from his mum (I opened his card yesterday) and the awesome present of the 'This is It' DVD and CD - I am a huge fan of Michael Jackson but didn't have these so I'm now very happy.
I was so tired that I had to have a nap so Chris went home and left me to sleep, after tucking me in. I slept for about an hour and when I woke up I came online to read blogs (yes, it is a compulsion no matter what they tell you) and even did some work for uni. When Chris came back he cooked me dinner (spaghetti bolognase - absolutely scrumptious) and we watched some tv (Simpsons, Futurama and How I met Your Mother) followed by the This is It DVD, much better than I was expecting.
That pretty much sums up my day, Chris has gone home to sleep now and I'm waiting for my sleeping tablets to kick in while spending time on here and on facebook, the best time killer I know.
