Reading Tonight

Tonight our writing society is having its first open-mic night.  I obviously agreed to read out some of my work and am only a little nervous about it - I think the fact that I've acted when I can barely remember lines helps, at least I'll have the words in front of me!  Although I'm a tiny bit worried about it (it is our first event after all) I'm also really looking forward to it.  I haven't been able to attend any meetings recently due to my M.E. (which is actually what my piece is about) so will be good to see everyone and can't wait to hear what other people read.  Now, just have to work out which sections I want to read out - my piece is in diary form and so far is 5000 words as it's for an assessment at uni (it's not finished yet, it needs to be 7000 words) so am only going to read out the best ones.  Will let you know how it goes.
