A Walk

Yesterday I decided to go on a walk with my camera as suggested on Day Four  of the Creativity Boot Camp.  As my camera is stupid all the photos have somehow been deleted so you'll have to imagine them - sometimes I hate technology.  I went a different direction than my usual walks and ended up my new favourite place to sit and think/write.
A photo of a graveyard
I have always loved graveyards - there is something beautiful and sad about them.  I especially liked this one as it was empty and though it was quite close to the roads I couldn't hear the traffic so felt totally enclosed in a magical world apart from the reality.
A series of photos depicting stone angels above graves
This particular graveyard had a circular centre where many of the graves were protected by angels guiding them to heaven.  I was attracted to them simply for their wings that reminded me of fairies.  I love fairies.  They are beautiful and mystical and I believe they would be right at home in this graveyard.
A photo of childish hand-drawn pictures and one saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' on a grave
This grave touched me and is why I had to take a photo of it, to remember that each grave is a memory of a person who once lived, and that living people remember them.
A very very blurry photo of a bird on a gravestone
Towards the end of my walk around the graveyard I suddenly became very aware of all the birds that were flying around, they clearly lived in the trees surrounding me.  I saw two robins but wasn't quick enough to take a picture.  I tried to take some pictures of the birds but all my attempts were awful.  I then realised that perhaps I wasn't supposed to capture them, that my seeing them this way was enough.  So I'm afraid there are no amazing photos to share with you but I honestly believe I could never do something that beautiful and amazing justice.
