Yesterday I did a bit of shopping and bought two new tops - I had looked in my wardrobe and realised almost all my clothes were good for winter but what about spring and summer? The reason being that I've put on some weight in the past few months thanks to not being able to exercise at all (who would know I'd miss it so much?) so had to start a new wardrobe and as it was winter that's what the clothes were suited towards. However I have managed to follow the rule that for every piece of clothing I buy, I get rid of one - in this case two of my favourite tops that I can no longer wear because they are just too small. I'm sorry to see them go but will be donating them to a charity shop so hopefully someone else can enjoy them and everyone benefits.
I also went to Tesco to get a few basics (though I realised today that I forgot marge and now we are completely out of it) and last night we (me and Chris) tried a stir in sauce (sweet pepper - can't remember which brand) with our pasta. It made a nice change and was very tasty though I'm trying to eat less to I followed the amount recommended on the sauce - 300g cooked pasta for two people. Chris was still quite hungry after so attacked the bread but because I'd chewed every single piece of pasta at least 10 times I found that by the time I'd finished I actually felt full! Yes I was quite shocked but that means that I'm making progress or at least learnt a way to remind myself not to over-indulge. Don't get me wrong, I'm not on a diet (I would never go on a diet) but I'm trying to eat healthier and in slightly smaller portions as a lifestyle change simply because I need to feel good about myself which is impossible with all the extra fat around my stomach. I know I'm not fat but I just feel I could treat my body a little better (and this includes going to bed earlier and getting up earlier as well). Don't know how long I'll manage to keep up the good work this time (last time was only for about a month) but I'm hoping I'll do better and keep it up for the rest of my life (in a perfect world).

Well done on your progress, Bethany! :) The nice thing about dieting/eating healthier, is that you have the perfect excuse to treat yourself to some new outfits! :)
