Today has been a busy day. It started with me getting up at 9am (a full hour before I normally consider making it out of the bed) so I could go to the voluntary writing class at uni - it was very useful and I can't wait to get writing again. The coffee with Diamond after was a definite plus and an idea I've had for next year is finally coming into being after chatting with her - there's nothing like a girly chat to get your mind going.
Not only did I manage uni and coffee, I managed an hour of shopping, ok, very slow shopping, but shopping none-the-less. I maybe went a little mad, but that's understandable seeing as I haven't been out of the house in a week.
When I got home I had a long long rest, enough so I was able to go to Scouts. I was as nervous as on my first night, I have no idea why, I guess it's because I was worried the kids would judge me (kids can be mean). Thankfully none of them did though I got asked numerous times about my absence. I didn't actually do anything at Scouts but going and being part of the group once again is definitely a first step. And next week I should be getting invested - which I've been waiting for since January!
As I ended up going to the pub for an hour or so with some of the leaders, it is now 11pm and Chris and I are ordering pizza. I'm guessing it's going to be a slow day tomorrow, with a long lie in and lots of resting. But it definitely wasn't worth it.
