I have been tagged by Sarah in the game 25 things. Apparantly I have to come up with 25 exciting, random, interesting things about myself for you all to learn about. I also have to tag people and will do so at the end, but feel free to join in even if I don't tag you.
**Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a post with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 10 people to be tagged. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.**
1. I am a vegetarian and have been since I was 11 (that's 11 years now). I stopped eating meat and fish because I didn't agree with how they are treated but now I'm not that bothered - it's just become part of my identity.
2. When I first saw Buffy I hated it but after having to watch it way too much I became addicted as well as half my family and now need large doses quite often to stay sane.
3. I play the flute but since starting university I've let my practicing go as it's so hard to motivate myself to pick it up when I'm not having lessons.
4. I actually wanted to learn the oboe but as the school didn't have any I could borrow and we couldn't afford one, flute was the next option.
5. I hate the smell of coffee but I love going to Costa for a cup of coffee with a friend for a good gossip or mutual writing.
6. I drink a small gingerbread latte everytime unless it is too hot. It used to be a medium but I cut it down at the beginning of the year as I'm not supposed to have much caffeine and I wanted to save money.
7. I love charity shops - I can rarely resist popping in to check out their clothes and books and it is with great difficulty that I will leave with nothing.
8. Apparently when I was younger I had perfect handwriting, but it was backwards. Since learning this I have learnt that I can still do mirror writing and can write with both hands at once (left going backwards, right going forwards).
9. If you didn't guess it from number 8, I am left-handed but have taught myself to write with with my right hand but it's only just legible.
10. I am the oldest of 5 - I still think my parents are completely crazy to have so many kids.
11. When I was younger I wanted to be a teacher and a writer. I still want to be a writer but I wouldn't be teacher unless you paid me HUGE amounts.
12. All my famous crushes are female - Kirsten Dunst, Alyson Hannigan, Claire Danes - with the exception of Johnny Depp.
13. I first heard Michael Jackson in P.E. and asked my teacher who it was, she copied the HIStory album for me and since then I have been hooked - I'm no longer obsessed but I still think he's the greatest musician ever.
14. I used to baton twirl which I absolutely loved, unfortunately I had to give it up due to my M.E. but I still hope to return to it and become the coach of my own troupe one day.
15. I love baking cakes but I'm not a big cake fan. I didn't like cake till I was 6 and even now would rather have cookies or chocolate.
16. I am currently reading 'The State of Me' by Nasim Marie Jafry and 'Me and Mr. Darcy' by Alexandra Potter.
17. I'm seriously beginning to struggle to come up with 25 things!
18. I couldn't decide what I wanted to do at uni so did an acting BTEC at my local college - I only wanted to do one year but I was overqualified so had to do the two year course.
19. I am excessively lazy - I have finished the uni year and instead of writing as much as I can (which I should be doing) I am spending most of my time wasting it on the internet.
20. My favourite meal is pasta, tomato sauce and lots of cheese as it reminds me of dinner at home (though I now make my own sauce).
21. When I was younger I wanted a tarantula (and I still kinda do) but it was negotiated down to 2 mice instead (both of which had quite short lives as mice don't do well in captivity).
22. The 2 mice are the only pets I've ever had and they were named Willow and Anya.
23. I own 17 pairs of shoes but you will rarely see me in anything over than my trainers these days as my M.E. prevents me from wearing heels for too long (and from going out to places where I would where them).
24. I've lost count of the number of bags I own but only really use 3 or 4 in rotation for a while before changing one or two of them. My favourites are a big brown velvet bag with Minnie Mouse on from the Disney Store and my little white 'smartie' bag, so named for the bright coloured circles that decorate it.
25. I still write handwritten letters to a few people and would take it over emails any day.
And now for the tagging (if I tag you please join in as it means I want to know more about you):
Muffins at Life As I See It
Heather at Who's been sleeping in my porridge
Jennifer at Crazy Shenanigans
Callum at The (Not So) fabulous life of Cal
Laura at A Life in the Day of Me
I know I've only tagged 5 people but honestly I don't know that many people (and also Sarah tagged a few that I would have tagged and it's totally not fair to make them do it again). Hope you enjoyed x

I'll have to post this tomorrow! How fun!
ReplyDeleteOo! Thanks for tagging me, I don't know if i will get round to doing it but I shall try. I love your obsession with Buffy, i noticed it crept up thrice. Your celebrity crush and the names of the mice. I have a friend you would get along with very muchly, everytime she arranges a get together, we have to watch Buffy, there is no choice in the matter. :)

I'm so glad you decided to play along! I never knew we had so much in common: I'm a fellow flute, and I love pasta as well! Thanks so much for keeping this going love!
ReplyDeleteAwesome about the Buffy! I too was forced to watch it, but refused the first time around. Then I had the Angel dvds thrown at me and after watching those (and totally loving them!) I decided to give Buffy a chance. It only took me a few episodes to fall in love! It might take me a day or two to fullfill the tag you have bestowed on me, but I'll get it on there! :-D
